Klaipėdos Nafta AB (KN) continues to develop its business portfolio by completing one of its investment projects under the company’s strategy for the period until 2020 – an increase in the capacities of a tank truck loading station. KN has just concluded a new service contract for petroleum products’ loading into tank trucks with Viada LT UAB.
‘For the first time this year we have concluded a contract for the loading of petroleum products into tank trucks with a commitment for a specific loading volume, which provides certainty and stability to the Klaipėda Oil Terminal. Contracts of this type are essential also because they enable the company to plan its income in specific periods. The fact that customers are inclined to enter into contracts of this type indicates that the services provided by the company, and the quality of the services, meet market demand ‘, says Marius Pulkauninkas, Acting Managing Director of KN.
The contract with Viada LT UAB for the loading of petrol and diesel fuel into tank trucks, with the possibility of mixing in the requisite additives at the company’s oil terminal, will expire at the end of 2017. There is a clause in the contract allowing its renewal for another year.
The increase in the capacities of KN‘s tank truck loading station enables the servicing of up to 4 tank trucks simultaneously as 4 new filling platforms for different products have been installed. Additional pipelines required for the loading as well as new tanks for bio-additives and multi-functional fuel additives have been constructed.
Prior to completion of the project, four light petroleum product loading platforms were operated at the oil terminal. Now the number has doubled, with two additional tank truck loading points added.
‘Maximum capacities of loading petroleum products had been reached at the tank truck loading station, and now, upon increase in the capacities, the range of products has been expanded and our partners are already benefiting from this. One may conclude that our investment projects’ programme is being implemented in the right direction ‘, says Marius Pulkauninkas.
