Klaipėda LNG Terminal Operator (hereinafter – “Company”) informs natural gas market participants about the planned announcement of the commencement of allocation of LNG Terminal long-term LNG regasification capacity on the 5th of September 2022.
On the 5th August 2022, the Company informed market participants that National Energy Regulatory Council (NERC) has approved a new version of the Regulations for the use of LNG terminal (hereinafter referred to as the „Rules“), which lays down the procedure and conditions for allocating long-term LNG regasification capacity for a period of up to 10 years. Taking into account the provisions of the approved Rules, the Company informs about the planned announcement of the invitation to submit applications for the acquisition of LNG Terminal long-term LNG regasification capacity.
Essential information on the long-term capacity allocation procedure is provided in AB Klaipedos nafta Regulations for the use of LNG terminal and in Annex 17 thereto.
The Company is offering up to 60% of the LNG Terminal total capacity during the long-term LNG regasification capacity allocation procedure, i.e., 24 000 000 kWh per year, while the remaining capacities will be offered through annual or spot capacity allocation procedures. Annual capacity will be offered to the market after the long-term capacity allocation procedure is completed.
