2016-01-28 Company news

Almost 281 m in length tanker "HRVATSKA" has moored at the second berth of SC Klaipedos Nafta. In company's history this is the longest tanker.

So far, the longest tanker ever moored at SC Klaipedos Nafta berths was "HS Alcina" with the length of 275 meters. She entered Klaipeda port in 2014.

The tanker "HRVATSKA" is sailing with the Croatian flag. Her full length is 280.89 m. The ship is able to transport 166 thousand tons of oil products. Depending on the Klaipeda port entrance channel depth and the permissible deph at the berths, it is planned to reload around 100 thousand tons of heavy oil.

"The beginning of this year is marked by a new record which shows that we are able to receive large tankers. This enables our customers to plan more efficient cargo logistics. Looking into perspective, we are optimistic for the Klaipeda State Seaport Authority plans to reconstruct the berths. For us it would be a great help in increasing oil products handling capabilities and acquiring qualitative competitive advantage among other Baltic port terminals ", – says Mantas Bartuška, SC Klaipedos Nafta CEO.

Heavy oil is one of the main Klaipedos Nafta's transhipped oil products.

The State owns 72.32 percent of SC Klaipedos Nafta shares.
