International energy terminal operator KN Energies welcomes autumn with a new employer branding campaign aimed to highlighting the significant contributions of its employees in consolidating Lithuania's energy independence and building a sustainable future for the country. The heroes of this campaign are KN Energies employees, who work together every day to make a difference at a national level. They are the engineers of independence, whose efforts resonate with the sentiments expressed in the lines of Lithuania's national anthem.
Commitment to Lithuania is more than just nice words
By joining KN Energies, every employee—regardless of their specialty or profession—becomes an engineer of independence, dedicating themselves to Lithuania and contributing to both an energetically and politically independent, sustainable future. This is the message of the company’s new employer branding campaign, conveyed through visualizations and a video clip.
"The idea for the campaign was developed by involving all of the company’s employees and focusing on the aspects of their work that make them most proud. Our goal was to create a sustainable employer branding campaign that reflects the true values of KN Energies' colleagues and highlights what inspires them to achieve shared goals alongside other professionals. We believe that our employer identity, which emphasizes a higher mission, will help attract like-minded individuals who share these values and goals," says Simona Kutelienė, Head of HR and Business Services at KN Energies.
Milda Ancevičė, Head of Communication at KN Energies, adds that a recent employee survey revealed pride in being part of real, meaningful changes in the country.
“This is no surprise—KN Energies is one of those companies where working for Lithuania isn’t just a nice phrase, but a daily reality. Our team includes people deeply committed to the country, its development, and its full independence," says M. Ancevičė.
Focus on a sense of meaning
According to KN Energies CEO Darius Šilenskis, the efforts of the company's employees directly impact Lithuania's energy independence through the operation of the FSRU Independence, a key national asset, as well as the development of green energy solutions and infrastructure to meet climate neutrality goals. The CEO emphasizes that working for the company naturally provides a strong sense of purpose, which the new employer branding campaign aims to reflect.
“Since Lithuania's independence, ensuring it has been inextricably linked to energy security. In the early days of a free Lithuania, we faced an energy blockade, followed using energy prices as a tool of blackmail. Developing alternative energy sources and the necessary infrastructure became a strategic priority for Lithuania. A breakthrough came with the arrival of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage vessel Independence in Klaipėda, which became the foundation and symbol of our nation's energy independence. Investing in this ship was a courageous and, in today's geopolitical context, a highly valuable step.
And our international activities in some projects also contribute to reducing our dependence on the most polluting energy sources. In line with our 2050 strategy, we will become engineers of fossil fuel independence and continue working towards developing an energy sector that meets our country's needs and objectives, which will require a highly skilled workforce now and, in the future," notes D. Šilenskis.Campaign heroes – real employees.
The campaign is based on the portraits of independence engineers – real employees of the company. These portraits are accompanied by lines from Lithuania's national anthem, symbolizing the company's higher mission and aligning with the efforts of its employees. The campaign video creates a unique narrative, incorporating fragments of the anthem to reflect the employees' daily dedication to their country.
"The campaign video tells the story of how essential our employees' work has become over the years, especially as the importance of the green transformation continues to grow. To transition to alternative energy sources and develop future energy technologies, we will need even more dedicated independence engineers who understand the significance of their work," said M. Ancevičė, Head of Communication at KN Energies.
The Independence Engineers campaign, launching today, will be featured on outdoor screens, billboards, public transport, radio, the internet, and other communication channels. The employer branding campaign was developed by KN Energies in collaboration with the creative integrated communications agency Ink Agency.
