Nine months SC Klaipedos Nafta transshipment growth was driven by new customers

2015-10-06 Company news
Through its controlled terminals in Klaipeda and Subacius, Klaipedos Nafta reloaded 20,3 percent more oil products within nine months comparing to the last year, when the company's oil terminals handled 4,683 mln. tons of oil products. In the same period last year the company handled 3,893 mln. tons of oil products.

The overall increase in reload this year is affected by the higher volumes of oil products from Orlen Lietuva, also due to newly-attracted customers and increased flow of oil products from Belarus. In September there is a little reduction of reload: this month company handled 393 thousand tons of oil products or 6,2 percent less than the same period last year was. Cargo volume change is due to repairs in Lithuanian and Belarusian refineries.

“At the beginning of September the company's largest customer Orlen Lietuva continued repair work, the latter took place in Belarus Mozyr refinery as well, so the company's customers carried less cargo”, – said SC Klaipedos Nafta General Manager Mantas Bartuška.

In September, the company-managed LNG terminal regasified and supplied to the natural gas transmission system totally 320 thousand MWh of natural gas, and in the whole nine months – 3,680 thousand MWh.
