Scheduled maintenance will be carried out at Klaipėda LNG terminal

From 6 May at 3 a.m. to 9 May at 7 a.m., the Klaipėda Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal will be temporarily suspended due to scheduled annual maintenance works. During this period, Lithuania will be supplied with natural gas via pipelines from other EU countries.
 
During the planned maintenance and repair works, the entire LNG terminal infrastructure – FSRU Independence, the terminal jetty and its equipment, and the gas transmission pipeline facilities – will be inspected. Maintenance works will be performed by Lithuanian and international contractors.
 
While the LNG terminal is undergoing maintenance, Lithuania's natural gas needs will be met through gas pipelines from neighbouring EU countries.
 
Activities of KN-operated LNG terminal in Klaipėda is temporarily suspended every year for planned maintenance works. Information on planned works is provided in the LNG terminal's publicly available schedules and on the information platform of UAB GET Baltic.
 
Once the LNG terminal resumes normal operations, an LNG reloading operation is planned for 9 May.
