On 2 January, the Supervisory Board of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil operator KN (AB Klaipėdos nafta) appointed the fifth member of the Board – a British with a longstanding experience in the global gas and oil business Ian Bradshaw.

Mr. Bradshaw is a professional who has accumulated long management experience and contributed to the successful implementation of global projects of considerable value and scope. The appointed member of the KN Board has worked on international Shell projects for over 20 years and has been the Business Development Director at Shell International Exploration and Production. Mr. Bradshaw has also worked in the international gas and oil company BG Group, where he occupied different managerial positions, and has been the Managing Director of Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG for the last three years, managing the development of various energy projects in Southern Europe.

Mr. Bradshaw’s experience covers the management of integrated business changes, achievement of long-term business goals while working on projects in different continents and countries, characterised by various challenges of the political and regulatory environment.

Eimantas Kiudulas, Chair of the KN Supervisory Board, emphasised that they had been searching for such a candidate to the KN Board who could significantly contribute his competence and knowledge to the achievement of the strategic KN goals, i.e. development of international LNG projects and further expansion of the value chain of Klaipėda LNG terminal in the region.

“We have been looking for a leader with a longstanding experience in international oil and gas business, who would be an active player in this sector and would match the KN business philosophy. Ian Bradshaw’s candidacy has fully met our criteria and expectations. He is an ambitious man with a strategic approach to business changes and challenges. His attitude, values and an impressive experience in the gas and oil sector have been a decisive factor for our decision to appoint this candidate as an independent member of the Board,” said Mr. Kiudulas.

The KN Board consists of 5 members, including the Chair of the Board, with at least 3 of them being independent members. The members of the Board are elected for the term of 4 years and recalled by the Supervisory Board. Mr. Bradshaw’s candidacy completed the composition of the KN Board, consisting of Chair Giedrius Dusevičius and members Mantas Bartuška, Dainius Bražiūnas and Bjarke Pålsson.
